Athletes we support achieve success at international kickboxing competitions in Germany

From 14 to 18 May, the city of Heilbronn, Germany, hosted the ISKA European Kickboxing Championship 2026. Ukraine was successfully represented by athletes from the “13 Legion” SportsClub, including two beneficiaries of the Way of Hearts Foundation.

In early May, the Foundation received a request from the club’s management to support young athletes selected to participate in the ISKA European Open. Artem Klatsun, a multiple Ukrainianchampion in combat sports, and Matvii Halaichuk, a world kickboxing champion, travelled to Germany as part of the team.

Following the competition, both athletes secured third place in their respective categories and earned championship belts.

How the foundation helped

In response to the request from the “13 Legion” Sports Club, the Foundation provided financial assistance to enable the athletes’ participation. The funds covered travel, accommodation and related expenses during the trip.

Why this matters

Young athletes from the “13 Legion” Club consistently represent Ukraine at international youth martial arts competitions, achieving new milestones each time.

Ongoing support for young talents is an investment in the future of our country. It helps sustain children’s motivation to train, grow, and excel – while proudly representing Ukraineon the global stage.

And they are not stopping here – two more world championships lie ahead.
