Furnishing Kyiv Children’s Hospital No. 7

Way of Hearts Foundation continues to provide ongoing support to Kyiv Children’s Hospital No. 7. In December, thanks to the help of our members and partners, the Foundation covered thehospital’s need for modern beds as part of the renovation of its wards.

How the Foundation helped

In response to the hospital’s request, the Foundation purchased and delivered the required number of beds as part of the ward refurbishment being carried out by the hospital’s administration.

The Foundation began its collaboration with Kyiv Children’s Hospital No. 7 in 2023: in September, we refurbished the physical and psychological therapy room, which will improve the qualityof life for young patients with congenital physical and psychoneurological disabilities, as well as speed up the recovery of children following injuries and illnesses.

In June 2024, donations from the Foundation’s partners enabled the purchase of essential equipment for Kyiv’s only paediatric maxillofacial surgery department.

Why this matters

“Support from patrons and philanthropists is critical for any medical institution in our country. At a time when the state is directing a large portion ofits resources towards supporting critical infrastructure, projects to modernise and improve conditions for treating children must not be halted. This is the position of the ‘Path of Hearts’ Charitable Foundation, which we are implementing through specific projects,” from the foundation’s team statement.

The foundation has adopted a strategy of addressing the specific needs of the capital’s hospitals as the most effective way to utilise our members’ fundsto the greatest benefit of patients.
